Financial Literacy Classes/Employment Workshops

Utilities & Rent Assistance

The Assistance Center provides limited rent and utility assistance to eligible Collin County residents experiencing financial hardship.

Eligibility Requirements:

-Must reside in Collin County

-Must provide:

  • Photo ID
  • Identification 
  • Proof of Residency
  • Proof of all household income
  • Documentation of the current financial crisis

The Assistance Center provides limited rent and utility assistance to eligible Collin County residents experiencing financial hardship.

  • Proof of Residency
  • Proof of all household income
  • Documentation of the current financial crisis

-Must be willing to develop a plan for long-term financial stability, which may include attending Financial Literacy and/or Employment Workshop classes. 

How to Apply:

-Initial applications must be completed by phone

-If eligible, applicants will be scheduled for an in-person appointment with a caseworker

-Financial Assistance is available by appointment only

Utilities & Rent Assistance

Through community partnerships, we offer seasonal assistance for eligible families.

Programs Include:

  • Summer4Lunch
  • Tools4School
  • Thanksgiving Meals Assistance
  • Hopes for Holiday Program
  • Senior Programs
  • Resources Assistance

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must reside within Plano ISD boundaries for seasonal programs
  • Applications are completed by phone through the Assistance line while programs are open
